Well they'll move it. Just open the box and look at them closely and run the nuts all the way down the threading of each ubolt before you buy them. I had to look through 3 boxes to find the decent ones i got.

I have an 01 Cherokee limited. Can someone please let me know what exactly the plastic rail to the left of the fuel injectors is called and what it does. All I can really tell about it is that it is electrical. I'm having some issues with rough idle and random stalling and just noticed this is cracked near one of the fuel injector wires. Might be a stupid question but all of my mechanical experience is with an 89 grand marquis, so now this jeep just has me confused

That is actually just a raceway to clean up the fuel injector wiring harness. Join the club, mine's snapped in half

If you want to give us some more information we can help you sort out the Jeep's issues.

Questions about my '94 XJ coils.

So I was just looking around my XJ (I do this alot since this is my first XJ) and I noticed that inside my coil springs there is this thing! Lol it looks like half of a coilover shock. Just seemed a bit strange to me. What is this? Would it be better to just get coilovers and put them in?

Here is a pic:

Thanks for the reply. Whats going on is kinda weird. Sometimes it idles perfectly fine, sometimes it is really rough, more on the rough side the past couple days. The first time I filled the tank up, and started it up it was shaking REALLY bad. Almost like it was choking. That has happened a couple times but not very often.... But the main thing that is worrying me, is that it has been just randomly stalling on me. No signs or warnings. I will be driving along just fine and all of a sudden its like the fuel just cuts off and I'm coasting off to the side of the*road. Pretty much the way cars with a fuel pump cut off switch would during impact. Then when I go to start it, it sounds like its not getting any gas. This has also been happening a lot the past couple days..... It also has a sort of clunky ticking sound that is worse when it is cold, only noticeable when I am actually driving, gets louder when I accelerate, and sometimes goes away for awhile then starts again. I'm pretty sure all of these may be tied together, and seems to be a fuel problem somewhere. Just not sure what it would be. Any help is very much appreciated, thanks again.

Okay gottcha.. So if you have bigger tires you would need a longer one to keep then from rubbing?

I'm gonna guess that this thing is also a bump stop but for the rear?

I know the holes at the top of the pic are for the rear sway bar. But the bottom of the pic has that pad looking thing.. But I only have one on the driver side my passanger side on is gone.. Any idea where to get these? Do I really need it?

Yes and yes on your two questions. You can order them in various lengths from Jeep websites like Quadratec and 4WP. If your tires aren't rubbing, you don't really need 'em.

Well your noises could easily be a cracked exhaust manifold.

As for the running issues check your fuel pressure. 2000+ should have 49 (+/- 2 PSI) right at the fuel rail.

Any codes thrown?

Cool thanks. I'd guess they would only rub if I had a bunch of weight in the back. Not likely.

One last question for now.. I also noticed my rear leaf springs are not flush. Since they are layered I could see how they wouldn't be. But is this bad as in gonna cause problems?

I'm pretty sure it is, but does anyone know if the driveshaft in a 2wd will work in a 4wd? I know the spline count is the same, but is the lenght the same - I'm pretty sure it is, but just in case...
