Just buy the spacers from Rocky Road or Teraflex. I see nothing wrong with either material, i think you're just overthinking it.

I told him poly, because delrin is more plasticky tha rubbery, might ride a little harsh.

2000XJ keeps bogging down & dying on me. Only seems to happen once it has warmed-up.. driven for 15 mins or so. Every time it gets to that point, cuts out and dies on me. After it sits for a while.. half hour, whatever, it'll start up again, and drive normal before the same thing happens.
I've already replaced the fuel pump and TPS.. What else could it be?
Could a weakened ground cause something like this?
I'm running out of ideas here. :/

Crankshaft position sensor will cause this if experiencing thermal failure.

They wont have all that much effect on the ride, but if they are too plasticky they may squeak if they arent real tight and move around.

Anyone have a quick summary of how to use the transfer case selector? Tried out my 4WD today in the light snow. My 4WD definitely works, b/c I felt the rattle when backing out of a space (full wheel lock), and could feel a little rattling when making turns.

But, I was able to get it into 4H pretty easily. I think I just let off the gas and coasted while I switched it. But I had trouble getting it from N into 4L. I also had trouble getting it from 4L into 4L. It was resisting and grinding like when you try to downshift when still going too fast for that lower gear. I think I tried while rolling and at a stop. I think I moved the tranny selector into N and then was able to move the transfer case from 4L to 4H and 2H.

In general, do you need to put tranny in N before messing with the 4WD selector?

You can go to 4 high on the move but you have to stop and put the transmission in n and then you can put it in 4 low

Ok, 4L needs to be entered from a stop.
How about getting out of 4L? Also need to stop fully in out tranny into N ?
