Ahhh, here in Canuckistan we measure things based on how frozen the hockey rink is.

It's possble if the synth is lacking seal conditioners or the old conventional lacked detergent and you have a sludge problem. Most XJs are run on conventional.

Actually in these Jeeps that sometimes matters more. If you do have issues with whatever oil you test move on until you find one you like. Remember, strange knocking noises are generally bad lol. Longevity is key in these things

I am going to replace the 2 CCV grommets and valves along with my VC gasket.

I read that one of the valves has a tiny opening that gets clogged.

My replacements do not have this. Is this a problem?

You have two FRONT elbows, the rear is a lighter grey color. I believe they serve as the same purpose however I dont see any harm in atleast trying it out for the time being. Id give them a call and ask though. More than likely you will have to buy the rear one or if they sent you two FRONTS by accident they should send you the rear.

True. If he meant any brand (maybe?) I don't think it matters.

+1 the rear must be a smaller hole (yes I wrote that on purpose)

The rear CCV hose to the manifold is much smaller than the front one, which isn't too bad, but if you drive it like that back to the parts store or wherever it will probably just run as if there's a vacuum leak.

Sounds like either a vacuum leak (preventing blend door from closing all the way) or the blend door itself is malfunctioning in some way.

Check for any vacuum leaks first - easiest way would probably be adding seafoam to the vacuum line on your brake booster... if you see any fluid leaking out of the vacuum lines - there's your leak. Plus it will clean your crank case at the same time.

I don't think I have 2 fronts. If you look at the photo, they are not the same item. They are definitely different. I just think this is some cheap-*** knock off that they sell. I am going to ask for a refund, as this clearly does NOT match OEM.
