Under hood, next to battery. It'll sit nicely there.

Stubby, like it stops at the grille? There's one company I found through searching, but it's a very rare choice due to the potential damage to the front clip. I was gonna do one until I weighed the pros and cons.

The other problem with XJ stubbies (as dukie564 showed me) is the unibody rails are so wide that a stubby wouldn't help like it does on a Wrangler. Our wheel wells aren't open at the front like theirs. If you wanna do it, it's easy. Build it like a normal bumper (tons of write-ups), but narrower. Same mounting points.

Alot of people stash them next to their battery. That's also what I did.

When you move the vacuum ball, how do you cut and reconnect the hose?

Also, my Jeep junges when i put it into drive... I know i need a passenger motor mount, probably a tranny mount but would u joints help contribute to that?

You can cut the hoses without any adverse effects.
