I have a 1990 xj 4.0 in the engine compartment wiring harness that goes to the alternator there's the yellow and tan wire that go to the alt. and the blue, gray, and the black wire that go to the dist. and then there is one green/wht. wire that is isolated from the rest coming out of that connector that I can't figure out where it goes???? Please someone help me I'm about go crazy I cant find it in any diagram and I'm about to put in a new ecu.

hi...anybody knows why my new serpentine belt changed today is making little noise? case im almost sure i put it right but it seems there is something not right and i heard that when they are new they cant make noises ..thankx

either it's too tight or too loose. Should be able to twist the belt (along the top run) 90*. No more, no less.
becase the jeep have an auto tensioner and so i dont see how i can put more tension or less ...maybe the problem is really that auto tensioner that is not in the right shape alreaddy ...i saw some videos in youtube people using soap to solve this situacion but i heard too that its not proprelly use that in belts and they should woark right ..thnkx anyway

No XJ has an auto tensioner. You adjust the tension adjusting bolt which moves an idler pulley on late models, all other models you move the power steering pump
