That's cool, however something that's far too common in my opinion is people treating all engines the same. General automotive engines are not the same as little 2-stroke bikes, big diesels, or Formula 1s. The big truck engines are going to spend most of their life around 1200 RPM and the oil galleries and crank weights are a lot larger, so right there you have a different environment for potential foaming. Also the main bearings take a hell of a lot more force than any car. Formula 1 stuff needs super heavy oil just to deal with the heat and mechanical stresses... also WAY beyond what you'd see in a car. What works in one class doesn't necessarily work in another.

That is an interesting point, though. The gear demo isn't really applicable to any engine out there. The main concerns are flow through the oil galleries, how much of it the pump can move, and film strength so that the bearings are cushioned on power strokes.
EDIT: and of of course piston rings, but you knew I meant that lol

The lift and tire combination will work fine. (With the flares and some small trimming) You'll want to gear the axles appropriately.
I love the way mine early model rides with 3"s of lift and my 31's. I could easily fit 33's with those flares and some trimming.

Looks good! You say some trimming. Are you talking about trimming other than what it takes to put the bushwacker flares on? If so where are you talking about trimming? 3:55 not a good gear for 33's? Not going to be muck of a highway driver, we take the old lady's ride on road trips.
I'd run 4:10's for 33's but if you just piddle around town it'll be fine. Especially if you live in a flat area.
I'm in Ohio where the snow is flying like crazy right no. Wish my ride was already done. Pretty flat around here. Thanks again for all your help. I'm sure we'll cross paths on here again.

3" and 31s go together like peas and carrots. Agreed.

Im looking for some decent mud grips. Has anyone had any experience with the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar? Are they good? Bad? Give me some feedback of any kind if you got some.
