Yes. The carrier break is different between the two.

You'd have to use a different carrier.

OR you can use thick cut gears.

Further explanation please? I'd love to keep the LSD if possible but **** that 3.73 noise.

I don't want to regear and have to buy a whole other carrier and spiders and assorted ****

Thank you!! You were actively browsing that thread lol.

I googled and read a few other places as well... So I could pick up a set of thick cut D44 4.88's and a master install kit and keep my LSD correct? The thick gears are like $20 more...

I did read some about grinding down the ring gear to get the cross pin out... Any words on this procedure?

If its still the original vehicle shocks they will go fast. Mine did. Best things was getting proper shocks for the lift. Plus newer ones just felt great

How do you remove the rear disc brakes from a GC? I was at the jy and got half way done with one side but couldn't get the backing plate off?

You have to pull the axles.
