Check fuel pressure when it doesn't start, if low fit a check valve on the fuel hose near the tank.

I will probably replace it with a new radiator and return it to stock, somebody installed the wrong radiator at some point in time.
Ah ok. They installed a reix era radiator 87-91 (without filler neck). If the headers are metal you can drill a hole and weld a filler neck with cap.

Approx 1 inch of lift with the shackles. It would be better if you add a leaf instead of blocks, anyway you will need 1-1/2 blocks.

If the distance of the sensor from the flywheel is just a hair off it won't work. You have to buy a new one. (or get a couple from the JY)

I have a set of these exact tires on my 90. You might get a little rub on the lower arms in the front at full wheel lock, but no biggie...

wait are they shackles that are 2 inches longer than stock, or are they 2 inch lift shackles? It makes a difference, my shackles are 3 inches longer than stock so they give me 1.5" of lift, so if they're 2 inch lift shackles (more realistically will be more like 1.5, they always advertise 1.5 as 2 for some reason) then they will give you 2 inches, if they're shackles that are 2 inches longer than stock they will give you 1 inch.

damnit there i go rambling again lol

Stefano, I just want to make it clear before I go forward with the repair. I am not questioning you just making sure I have communicated correctly.

The sound seems to be coming from the front of the 2000 Cherokee LP D30 area. I have bad ears and I just want to make sure the symptoms are that of the CH 8.25 axle ring and pinion wear not the front LP D30.

Is there an easy check to see which one or both are going out?

When you say that it makes noise only when you apply gas this tells me that it is not a tranny problem but a ring and pinion wear. What you can do to diagnose this better is the following: notice if the whine frequency follows the engine RPMs when in drive or just the vehicle speed, in the first case it is something related to the tranny, in the second case it is definitely a gear whine, especially if it is more noticeable at middle/higher speeds.
Let me know.

Default 1989 XJ Limited ABS problem?

Ok so I have looked around the site a bit and couldn't find much on abs brake problems. So, I have just recently bought a 1989 XJ Limited with power and anti lock breaks. The abs light is on and my breaks hardly work at all. So i replaced the abs pump. No difference. So now im wondering if it is a booster problem because I get no pressure in the pedal when the engine is off. Any ideas on how to fix it? I have looked into new master cylinders, but i dont really want to spend $450 for it if it is an easier fix. What do you think? Thanks again!

Probably bad alternator. Have it checked at an auto parts store.
