I am planning on getting a sye for my xj and would appreciate some advice. I just bought my jeep and the previous owner put a 5.5" lift on it with a transfer case drop, but there are still bad vibes above 45mph. I am planning on getting a sye but as far as the drive shaft, I have heard that you can use the front drive shaft from an XJ instead of buying a custom one. Would this require cutting the pulled drive shaft to adjust it to the correct length? Is the length dependent on my lift height? If you have had an experiences with using a front shaft I would also appreciate your opinions on using a front shaft and any other thoughts thank you so much.

Today I moved my XJ up to the top of my hill and moved it around a bit to test the 4x4, when I got done I parked it and turned it off. As soon as I shut it down I heard a gurgling sound and steam started to come out of the passengers side of the hood, so I popped it and there was coolant boiling out of the reservoir. What could cause this? When I was running it the temp gauge stayed at cool-normal.

so i took it to a trans shop they got the same thing error code P0715, but they said it wasnt the trans speed sensor on that there was a malfunction on the input sensor for it, they did their diagnostics, cleaned out the connection re wrapped the wires to make sure they werent touching..$135 total....i then took a left turn onto a steep hill from a standstill and the same thing, BAM! it goes into limp mode, only shifts into second...check engine light comes back on...error code P0715 AGAIN!......should i brink it back whats the deal? come on i need a miracle here, just started a new job with a 30min commute cant be dealing with this ****
thank you someone

If you have a NP231 TC things are much easier, cause you can do a hack and tap with the front DS for under 100 bucks. If you want a SYE or you have a NP242 TC you will need some more money.

You could try to unplug the connector of the solenoids and shift manually through the gears to see if it works.
so this is the first time i have ever seen this wire in any vehicle i have owned it is attached to the bottom on the battery box and connects to a wire next to the pass. side fender does anyone know what this does?
