I would bet money on the head being cracked. Take the valve cover off and look at the spot between the 3 and 4 cylinder

Here's what you do.
Drain coolant and oil now-
DO NOT drive it anymore-
Spend all day tomorrow removing the head-
Check for any cracks of anysize-
If all checks out, go buy a head gasket kit-
Replace the head gasket because it is blown-
If blown head, report back!

Unfortunately it's a 00, so the gasket kit is $150 instead of $70

FWIW, if its just a gasket, see if you can replace the head with a non 0331 head, while its off

Yea, that is blown way out of proportion.

When I put the power probe on the fuse, in the fuse panel, on the driver side of the rear grid, or the socket for the relay and press the positive switch on the probe the light on the switch illuminates. Anytime I click the switch it doesn't illuminate though. This makes me think the switch is bad but then why is the light turning on? Any input would be great.

Also after I did this I went to drive home and neither of my blinkers worked. My high beams did though.
Any help?

Yea... Asking for advice on a wiring issue online is like doing surgery with your eyes closed.
There is a timer for the defrost I believe it's built into the cluster. As for the blinkers.... You swamped it for a night.... Has too see it coming lol

I just may make a thread. Asking online is the best I got at the moment haha. The only thing with the blinkers is that they worked, tested my defroster, and they stopped working.. Well..

Check the fuse. Wiggle it.

Default Loose Steering on 1991 Cherokee Limited

Just bought with 204K miles...I can turn the steering wheel 15 degrees in both directions before it starts to turn the front tires, along with a clunk coming from the right front when I go over speed bumps and the like. I've gotten underneath it and reefed on the front suspension components to see if there was anything major that I could see. I'm new to the Cherokees...is there any common steering problems like this on high mileage versions? I just need some insight before I take it somewhere to get look at. Thank you.

For the loose steering you can adjust the slack out of your steering gear. Search on here for instructions. I did it to mine yesterday and it took out a bunch of play.

To replace the door check bracket and door pin, do I just hammer upwards on the existing pin to remove it?
