u my as well replace both at the same time. or u are just gonna be constantly ruining oneby the other not workin right. that ur ur wiring harness is seriously bad. check your distributer wires too. any frays or shorts? run a multimeter to find any shorts or heavy resistance in the wires.

I'll have to hit it this weekend. How long have you had it this way? And have you noticed any leakage?

Default Dimmer Switch and marker light issues 1994 xj

Problem(s): cluster lights out, shifting lights out, markers front and rear. out.
Tests: Checked fuses, grounds, and switch

switch works when pulled out slowly (very small area) but goes out when switch is fully open. when its "working" cluster and rear markers work.

bought new switch at napa, installed fine but no relay click and the margin that the switch worked had gone away.

checked under air box at connection, looks fine.

has anyone else encountered this? what can i do from where i am now?

Pull straight up. You'll probably break a few retaining plastic bits inside but it should be fine. I broke 7 of the 10 and it still stays on

TC in Neutral, parking brake applied, shifter in 1-2, sit in back seat and pull. More leverage
