first make sure the muffler isn't touching the floor, second get a heat shield in there between the muffler and the floor. The OEM ones on cherokees/grand cherokees work VERY well and are thin.

Trust me, i can tell you from personal experience having the floor catch on fire while you're driving is no fun. I have a softball size hole there now in mine

Ok I'm gonna run to the exhaust shop and have them fix the leak that's causing it and rig up a shield that I have cause I'm not allowed to use the torch or welder when my grandpa is out of town...

hey guys some help would be nice but, i got a 93 xj country edition with abut 4 inches of lift. I recently installed a rustys t-case drop kit bc i had terrible angles and it was causing drive line vibes. ok i did didn't fix it >.< ok i replaced a shot bearing and seal in the back of the t-case still vibrates. changed the rear universal joint bc it had alot of play then found out my yoke is warped bc the new one also had alot of play but, i corrected it by grinding some metal off of the yoke ok she rode smooth for about a week or two but now its vibrating like crazy and its leaking fluid like crazy from the output shaft seal, but there is no play at the rear universal so i know i need a new yoke but is there anything that could be causing these vibes or grinding noises inside my tcase?

I see your problem. It's a clear case of lackofpunctuation.

Took the nss off. Did everything on the BC4x4 web page. I adjusted and re-adjusted and everything works except reverse lights. I removed the tail lamps and replaced the bulbs just to be sure and at least one was bad for sure. They may have been boogered by the previous owner who rigged a trailer harness and left a mess of wires in the left tail lamp. I know one thing, I'll never do that again. The guy on BC4x4 said a couple of hours--I think it took me a couple of hours just to get the tie wraps off.

Well they're only $145 by me.

Only a lil more than $100
