Ok so I feel stupid but can't get my brain to function today. At 5" of lift, my caster angle is 9 degrees with the lower arms at their shortest. If i move them to their longest position, the measurement is 13 degrees. Seems backward to what everyone else says about needing longer lower arms hence my confusion. I am measuring caster with an angle finder on the top of the knuckle on level ground. I want to be at around 5 degrees so what am I missing here?

could it be the reason for my 6mpg highway? and why it kinda spits and sputters at a redlight in drive?

As he said, though, your O2 is probably bad at this age. May not be your only problem, but it wouldn't hurt to replace it. Also clean your throttle body and try a can of Seafoam.

and where is the cel located in my jeep? im thinking under the clock thingy...because its the only spot on my jeep that doesnt work...(like the po unplugged it or something)
Thanks for backing up the info. Good idea on the seafoam, after replacing my intake/exhaust manifold gasket and seeing all the gunk inside the cylinder head passages I put seafoam into my fuel tank, intake, and oil then changed the oil after 100mi. If he just purchased his Jeep its wise to atleast perform a basic tune up. Oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs, wires, o2, seafoam, ... the list can go on and new parts will only make it run better (if the old parts need replaced) but you have to start somewhere. Just my .02, Im no renix guy btw so I didnt even factor that into my previous reply. Either way, tune ups are tune ups.

'87-90 don't have a CEL. Read my post above. As for Seafoam, the people who say that haven't tried it. It breaks up the carbon and other **** in your engine. Suck up about 1/2-2/3 of a can into your brake booster, immediately kill the motor, let it sit 10-15 minutes, start it up and watch the smoke show. It won't hurt anything except your relationship with your downwind neighbor.
