Does anyone know what the stock tint percentage is for our cars? Found a couple threads including one here and everyone was posting different numbers. That was in 2010 though and I didn't know if anyone had found a definite answer since then.

The high beam on my right-hand headlight isn't working on my '98. Both headlights are fine on low beam but one goes out completely on high beam.

I've tried different bulbs, and all of the fuses in the kick panel seem to be fine.
This is really bugging me!

I doubt it makes any difference, but UK XJs like mine have H4 headlamps, not sealed beam.

If I remember right 84-85 is 2.5 carb. 86-88? Is TBI. I'm not very sure of this. I been finding carb parts for a guy with a 85. I have seen 86 with TBI and my 88 comanche also has it.

Cruiser54, i did try all of this. I found this information floating around somewhere. The prior transmission did the same, would not shift unless the tcu fuse was removed.the only thing i did not check is the speed sensor on the adapter housing, but the tps and grounds have been serviced like your reply. What else could it be? Im ready to drive it to the scrap yard!!!!

My rocker arms chatter pretty loud on first start up and do seem to quiet down once everything warms up. While I pull the valve cover is there anything else I should go ahead and replace? Or is replacing them even worth it/ the fix?

I take it oil is not coming up through all the pushrods? Yank em and see if they're clogged up.

Also your rocker fulcrums may be worn, I've seen that mentioned a few times here. Excellent pics in some other thread. Good picture of how he accidentally twisted the bridge while reinstalling, too

I haven't pulled the cover yet. I think I'll replace the rods, arms, and fulcrums.

That's close. I can't remember when the 2.5 went MPI.
