Id go with the SLP Loudmouth it sound really good with out a cat almost sounds straight piped but a lil bit less loud. Heres a link to the muffler on the SLP site: http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...sp?P=310013919
Its actually cheaper on their site then any other from what I had found.

I had the slip loudmouth on my 94z28 with kooks long tube headers and a few other bolt ons (lt4 heads, intake, bbk tb,msd ignition,k&n intake ,150hp wet plate of N2o It sounded great but it was loud As hell I was pulled over for excessive exhaust noise all the time. Eventually I replaced it with a edelbrock catback and it was quieter and hand more of a deep rumble.

Do I need a spacer between my cat and muffler? Or will this work? Also, is it okay to have the tail pipe semi close to the gas tank? I brought it in for a quote just to see and the guy said it can't be close to it. He asked $60 to install everything. With me including all the parts. I laughed and walked out.

Well I wanted to just throw it on, but the inlet on the muffler had way too much of a gap between the two. So I brought it in to Merlin's to get an adapter sized up but the guy offered me $40 to hae it welded in. I figured the adapter was going to run me about $5-10 so the $30 extra to have it welded in is well worth the price! And saves me a hard day out in the cold.

There's not much for Renix, I believe outside of a stock replacement is a stock replacement with accordion bends on the 1st and 6th tube allowing some flex. Other then that you have pacesetter, in all my research no one else makes a header SPECIFICALLY for Renix jeeps. The APN header is very popular, because it's usually cheaper then the replacement, it can be adapted to work for the Renix the ports are just a little off and you will need to hand file down the #6 tube a little. I don't know the specifics but if you PM Cruiser54 he has done it to several of his Renix jeeps.

has anyone had issues with pinching the tailpipe outlet? Thinking of a solution without dumping the exhaust right after the muffler under the Jeep. Doing a rear quarter cut and fold soon. Maybe I can run the exhaust higher and out the side where the rear quarter used to be?
