Should be 87-95 (the YJ era). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the help! Looks like I'll pick up front and rear YJ lines. I assume there's nothing too complicated about swapping them over?

I've read about 100 pages but didn't see my idea.

I bought my XJ with a 3" RC lift and 30"s. I would like to go a little higher. Would I be alright with adding a Rusty's BB with shackles or would I be better off getting a 4.5" lift? My plan is run 31" or 32", no bigger.

Well, you SHOULD be fine with 31's on 3" lift as long as it's not sagging, but BB w/ coil spacers and shackles should be fine if you just have to go higher.

Do you have the RC lift with AAL or is it a full leaf pack?

AAL, that's the reason for shackles. Should I just order a full leaf back for 4.5" lift and then just use the spacers up front?

96 Dakota 4x4 lines are like 6 extra inches longer for rear

I'd do away with the AAL - those just lead to crappy ride quality. Leaf packs are much better. You can go the route of 4.5" packs in the rear OR you can get a set of s10 or dakota springs from the JY and build your own pack and then add the shackles included in the BB for 4.5" ... check Project Danger Cart in the build threads for the exact leafs... much more affordable than buying new stuff for what you're wanting to do.

That would be better, though I here people have a bunch of problems with the rc leaves being too short and needing to get relocation brackets with em. I'm not sure though its just what I've heard

Thanks for the help. I put RC AAL's in my 01 2wd Blazer and the ride was horrible. The XJ isn't very bad but I'd like a little smoother ride.

Time to start saving some pennies. Thanks again.

They should be fine, most shocks are for a couple of heights, like 1-2 in. Or 3-4.5 an inch and a half isn't gonna effect much. My shocks are for 3-4.5 inches of lift and I have 3.5 inches of lift with no problems.
