You don't need to replace your shackles to run different height leaf springs. As long as the leafs are the same length as stock which most lift springs are.

Rough country springs arent long enough so you'd need a shackle and shackle relocation bracket for those.

Quick question. Bout to pull the trigger on UCA bushings for my Heep. I'm installing long arms so I will only need the axle end bushings. The ones I'm looking at come as two pcs. Dose the UCA use the same bushing on the axle end and frame end? I would go look but I had to drive the company truck home and the Heep is at work.

Default new tires

Hello. My 2001 is ready for new tires. The stock rims are really rusty. I was looking to replace them also. The stock tires/rims are 15" X ..something. Could I go with a larger rim/tire combo with the stock suspension/or fender?Nothing big, just one size up. I assume I would have to change the spedo gear also.I've never done this before, and i don't know if I have to change suspension parts for clearance. Thank you.

no problemo hamslice. Dunno if you've heard of this before, but freeze the bushings before installing them. I see you're in South Carolina so perhaps your axle isn't also frozen, lol

Never thought of freezing them. Thanks again! We're having it rough down here, it got down to 20 degree F the other night. Haha. Just made my last rockauto order and still have to get my SYE so it will be a couple more weeks before the ole beast goes under the knife. Hopefully it will be warmer then.

In SC? Wow

Yeah, cold bushing + warm mount = easy install. Mind you, trying to work with a greased-up frozen bushing sucks a lot lol. You could warm up the cast part of the axle with a torch or something to get the metal expanded a bit if you need to. Mine went in like a cinch at the end of the summer.

Thanks man, only problem is that my cherokee doesnt have stock shackles. I think they are a 3in shackle so i am assuming it will be 6.5in in the rear with 3.5in leafs

Default 3in to 4.5in

Hey guys what all would I need to do to run 4.5in lift. I have 3.5in procomp coils and im going to order 4.5in coils and a 1in shackle. Would I need to worry about driveshaft length or anything else?
