Ok here's the deal we've had far to many new threads asking about tires and lifts. So it's time to consolidate..

Just to be clear..This thread is the place to ask all lift and tire questions. Also to post info about Lifts, Tires and other Mods you have done to your jeep so you can share them with other member. Again If you have a lift or tire question post them here.

Rules:
1- Content must be relevant, this is not a chat thread, wanna chat go elsewhere, but feel free to make useful comments or ask questions about what others post or any lift or tire questions as well..
2- Post the name of the product, basic info, where you bought, a link to it and your opinion of it.
3- Do not just list I installed a lift, wheels, tires a bumpers and such, as that's not helpful and will be removed.
4- Do not and I mean do not argue this is meant to share you experiences on the products you installed nothing more. I don't care if you don't like a product someone else did.
5- All threads asking about lifts and tires that could be answered by this thread will be locked and a link to here will be provided.

The lift is great has a nice stance and was pretty complete. One thing you have to do is at a 3/4" poly coil spacer to level the front out. In the end I ended up with about 4.5" of lift front and back. The sway bar end links suck as well. Good concept but the bushings tore up on me. That's ok it needs quick disconnect end links anyways. I plan on going with some from JKS.

The shocks well they ride rough but they are solid shocks. If I had it to do over I would have gone with Bilstein's or Monotubes, maybe even OME shocks.

WP products review: PM me if you have a question on one of them, but for the most part all there products are good quality. There suspension kit has very good manners on the street, an off road test in the near future. I also have pucks in the front which I have no idea who there from. I did not install these items but have checked them out and other then the lift and Rock Barz they seem to be simple. You will need a drill and rivet gun for the body armor. 2 people would help with the Rock Barz but a jack stand can be the other hand.

Husky Liners review: I LOVE THESE THINGS. Just drop them in, they fit perfectly.

KC HiLites review: Dont let the price scare you. They are the best lights I have ever owned or viewed. High quality product. Very good light, with optional lenses. I have used them in the fog and they work awesome! Also work very well for driving lights. Spot on instructions. Took me about 3-4hours to install, but you cant see a wire anywhere. Fairly simple just time consuming.

Airaid Review: Came with the rig, not too loud at idle while out of XJ. Not loud under acceleration. Very good fitment. I'm sure there is a power and mileage gain. Kinda pricey. Very easy install.

I am very happy with the Airaid intake, especially in the mountains. The most HP gain is at higher RPMs. Would be even better with a bored out throttle body and new exhaust system.

The lift has served me well so far. I used to have a 2" budget boost so I used the longer shackles for a little more lift in the back to compensate for added weight. I plan on adding brand new leafs sometime because even with the add-a-leaf, the pack has no curve.

I just added 31" Bigfoot X/Ts and the only rubbing is when the wheel is cranked while backing up. Planning to swap to TJ flares to fix the problem. http://www.bigotires.com

I really liked the affordability of this lift. I will not break the bank and when you buy a 3 in lift kit that is what you get. The shocks leave a lot to be desired so if you have the bank roll buy an upgrade. As far as ride a lot of people say it is Rough, my thoughts are I drive a Jeep I want to feel the bumps so I think the ride is fine.

Everyone tends to ask about my Shackles they run about 100 bucks and are great for recovery you can get them here.

4.5in Rough Country lift: Great service from Fat Bobs, even over nighted some pieces that were missing. The lift itself was easy to install. Only problems I ran into was more due to age of my XJ then the kit. Only thing I would like to see different is maybe only 3in leafs with 1.5in shackles.

Cragars V5: Summit has great shipping time, might just be where I am but I usually get my order in 2-3 days with slandered shipping. Also, Summit only charged me 12 bucks for shipping on the whole order. I just baught this, let me beat them for a while and I will update this...

Dakota M/T: I am very happy with these tires. The price was right, and with the deal that Pep Boys does it came out even cheaper. These are made by Cooper Tire for Pep Boys as a shop brand (only available from Pep Boys). They are extremely close to the construction of the Cooper STT tire. As a side note, for a mud tire they have a very low road growl. This was nice as I have to drive 3 hours to wheel...

JCR:
Sliders: These have saved my sides more time then I can think. My only issue with them is finding the right paint to keep them from rusting but that will take the abuse of the trail.
TC Belly Skid: I have always like the look of the TC skid that Cherokee nation used to make, but they are hard to find since they are no longer in business. So I asked JCR to make one up for me. Same design, but welded instead of bent, and the added a front gusset.

I currently am running 2" Teraflex spacers on my 99 Sport. I've been doing a lot of research and have decided on the 3.5 RE superflex. When I install that system, will I then have 5.5" total lift? Or should I remove the spacers first? No matter the difference, would 31 x 10.5 BFG A/T's be a good choice?

New to the Jeeping community, and I already love my XJ :).

Te RE 3.5 kit in rear with stock shackles on mine measures at 4.5" the front with the 3.5 springs and 3/4" spacer and factory isolator measures at just over 4.5". That should give you a good reference. So measure how much lift you have atm and add about 4-4.5" to that and that's what ya get. I had to add the 3/4" front spacer to make it level...The rear leaf packs are pretty darn stout...:)

Those things are worth there weight in gold. If your in an area where it rains, snows, or you track in mud, rocks, or any other material these things well catch it and keep it contained till you can clean it up. Carpet stays clean and dry!

XJ 5.5" Extreme-Duty Long Arm
 

As of right now I do not own a Cherokee but I have a couple questions about lift/tire size. I would like to run 35" tires and I was looking at this system:

I know they say the max tire size is 33 x 12.5 but with slight fender trimming could I run 35's? I'm new so I don't really know much about Cherokees. :dunno::help:

Get it and then trim the fenders and run 35's easily. Add some Bilstein shocks and you'd be set for just about anything.Also take into consideration you will also need an SYE and new driveshaft..SO you will have to address that and the other drive line angles..Nice thing is that kit comes with the control arm drop brackets..

Now one thing you might consider is saving a little extra and moving the the long arm kits. it's about $500 more. Nice thing about ordering through 4wheel parts is if you have a store local shipping is free.

So I should buy the long arm kit? What Bilstein shocks do you recommend? How would I save money by doing that?

As for the kit IMHO if you are doing 5.5" which will likely be more like 6"+ knowing RE you are better off with long arms for over all handling. As for Bilsteins if you can afford it 5150..If not at least get a good mono tube shock. As for saving money I meant save up a little more nad splurge on the long arm kit. My RE 3.5 sits at 4.5", RE kits generally will net more then advertised.
