How many people on here running long arms? And of those, what brand did you buy or did you make yourself, and what do you think? Been doing a bit of looking around and there's a lot more to choose from then I suspected. Radius arms vs 3 link vs 4 link. Some kits include a belly skid and others don't. What have you guys used that worked or didn't work and why?
I'm running the RC long arm upgrade kit with RE springs and have no complaints. A lot of people talk trash on RC and as for most of their products they're right. The only negatives I've ever read about their long arm set up is about the flex bushings, which were re-designed some time ago. For me 80% DD 20% mild to moderate off road trail use, the radius arm set up works great. If you are looking more for a dedicated offraod rig I look more into a true 3 or 4 link set up. But for most of us weekend warrior types the RC kit cant be beat for the price. Just my two Lincolns

Stock wheels on a 98 XJ 2 door. Can I run 30's without a lift? DD with light wheeling and I'm strapped for cash so I want a little boost, but can't afford a lift right now.

Just from what I learned from lifting mine your better off saving you money and doing it right the first time if you have to depend on your jeep to get around.

Twin traction beam XJ. You could probably get away with something slightly less fabricated and intense than their build, but if you are not experienced, you could potentially hurt yourself. Just a warning. Also, IFS isn't 100% necessary for fast offroad. Jeepspeeds seem to do fine. There are some really extreme Ford and Dodge 3/4 ton trucks that outpace Raptors.

I would love to have something that race quality, but I am going to try and have less fab. just some of the essential things. I have always looked at jeepspeed. those are some really nice well done rigs. I don't plan on racing it just a nice desert toy.
My roommate runs 30's on his xj with no rubbing and no trimming for street driving. His old xj used to rub with the same tires.
