Thanks for the info guys, I have googled 33x10.5x15 and have found a few pics of them but not a lot of into on mounting them on stock rims. I think am going to pull the trigger on some BFG KM 2s as soon as my 31" BFG KM 2s runs out of tread. Side note, BFB KM2s ROCK, you all should get some!

My winter tires are a 33x10.5 BFG AT on soft 8s 15x7. Without the back spacing your gonna rub the crap out of your control arms. I tried with stock rims before I bought the cragars and it just didn't go well.

Depends on what stock rims you're running. Some have a little more back spacing then others. I live to look of the wheel tucked nice inside the wheel well. If all else just adjust your steering stops a tad till you save the money for spacers.

I'm pretty sure all stock rims came with 5.25" backspacing.

Can someone please explain to me: 1) What shims are. 2) how to know if I need them (I will soon be at 4.5" with a tcase drop) 3) where to get them. 4) how to put them on. I tried searching but didn't find much information on them.

Shims are small metal plates cut at a certain angle to help change your pinion angle after a lift. You will need them if you do a tcase drop and still have vibes. You can get them from most offroad companies and the sit underneath the leaf springs on top of the axle.

Okay, so they aren't necessary if I don't have vibes? Will getting them prevent abnormal wear on other suspension or driveline components?

You need a t case drop if shims aren't enough not the other way around. Shims are 15 dollars and don't torque your motor mounts. Try shims first then if you still have vibes use a t case drop.

Shims usually aren't enough anyway unless you have very slight vibrations.

Every jeep is different. I'm on about 5" of lift with no shims, no tcase drop, and no sye. And its a 97
