Does anyone know if the adjustable lower control arms that come with a rustys 6.5" xj lift kit arebthe same as a 4.5" lift kit? Or would they work? It says they have 2" of adjustment over stock.

Xjs are unibody so body lift is not an option, and you have got to be joking, 50 dollars? Good luck getting everything for under 500 dollars.cheapest three inch lift will be about 300 bucks.

Im looking to get the best 31" m/t for the money and a lift that will clear them without cutting, my current leafsprings are shot so the kit will need new leaf packs. Any suggestions?

How much back spacing did you end up going with, 4.5? Did you have any issues with fender rubbing with the offset rims? I rub right now with 4" of lift 31"s and soft 8 with 4.5" of back spacing.

I wouldn't recommend the blocks. Fastest way to ruin your leaf springs. Take the mans advice, spend the money upfront, it will keep you from spending the extra time and money later

You will have to have shocks at three inches. If you want it cheap then get an ad a leaf kit. Blocks and spacers won't do it for ya.

He's right. Even with the cheapest lift you can find, you'll spend over 100 on new shocks

I wouldn't even bother. A stock XJ is plenty capable. Spend the $50 on gas or something.

Treadwright guard dogs and my RE 3.5 Super ride clears without trimming and DT8000 shocks.
