i hear about the Spacers, but wont that cause that "DEATH WOBBLE"?
also the rear was done with springs so no blocks or anything yet....
i thought about adding the 2" spacer on the spring
a new Adjustable sway bar
and in the back the 2" drop shackles....
is this SAFE?

Okay, I have a question about longer shocks for lifts? I bought some new shocks that say ORV by Rugged Ridge - Nitrogen Charged Gas Shock. They have been sitting under my bed unopened for a few months now until I recently lifted my Jeep.
I got them out tonight and was going to put them on (yes I have been running with stock rear shocks maxed out for few weeks now) and noticed that the piston rod is all the way in on both shocks as in not moving out on it's own force. I have to pull them out. Make sense?
Is this normal? I went and looked at some old stock ones I pulled off a while back and they are all the way out, full length. You can push the piston rod back in and it will come back out on it's own. I thought this was the way all shocks were?
Is this normal for a Nitrogen Charged shock or has the gas leaked out? I did not open them when I got them a few months ago. I just threw them under the bed. Before I go through the trouble of putting them on, I want to make sure I am not putting bad shocks on. I can take pics if needed but hopefully this makes sense.

I just put a plain 3" lift (front coils, rear add-a-leaf) on my 98 and got the death wobble from that so I don't think spacers cause that problem.

I'm sitting on 3" lift with aal. I'm wanting to go up an inch. My shackle angle is 90 degrees. Would longer shackles get my angle closer to 45 or do I need the shackle relocation brackets to do that?

I guess I am going to have to call Rugged Ridge and find out. I don't want to go by another pair of shocks if these are good. They are brand new, ordered online. But it was too cold outside at the time to mess with lifting the Jeep so I threw the shocks under the bed.
Funny thing is the front shocks that came with the lift spring right up when you push them in. They are now installed and seem to be fine. The rear shocks that came with the lift appeared to be shot so I ordered another pair new. Surely they could not have gone bad in just a few months?
