Quote: Anyone know where to get cheap leaf spring bolts? I'm gonna have to cut mine and don't want to pay $60 for 6
Trust me I'm in the same boat, TEAMCHEROKEE.com was the cheapest I could find but those were still 50 and some change. If you find a solid deal shoot me a pm please.

I know a couple guys that run 36's on 4" of lift. They run tube lower control arms for more clearance. Then they trim the fenders and extend the bumpstops, easy-peasy-lemon-squeezie! This setup is all for droop and works out really well off-road.
I was on 36's and 4.5". Trim and BUMPSTOP and it can be done. Lol. Not hard at all.

I'm pretty sure there are 6 bolts. Leaf to Frame, leaf to shackle, and shackle to frame. x2 for both sides. And I guess I can check a dealership by me. I have only heard that the dealership will bend me over the barrel and show me the 50 states, but I guess it's worth a shot if it only cost you that much.

Is it a bad idea to get 1-1. 5" lift shackles if my current shackles are at 90 degrees? I have a 3" add a leaf by the way.

I didn't replace my shackle bolt when I lifted, but think it was $7.50 a bolt plus tax

Or a quick google search got me here, could try a few of these

Hi guys, I have a '97 cherokee and i am thinking about putting a 3" lift with rough country suspension and shocks. but i still have stock rims and tires which are 15" rims and 7.5" width with 28" tires. I want to put 31" tires on with rims but i dont want to spend more than $500 dollars for cheap rims and new tires. any suggestions? thanks!

Treadwright tires on the wheels you're already using.

Went wheeling last night, with rear and front lockers and my 31s I did well. I was considering getting bigger rubbers one for easier climbing and I want a meaner stance, would like them to stick out a little.
I am sitting on a 4" lift, with a D35 on the back. I know the rear axel is our weak point. If I want anything bigger than a 31 I've been told I need a stronger rear axel. Is this correct?
D44 or a 27-29 Locked Slpine seems to be popular. Any suggestions? And will it be a tough swap will i have to redo the ARB lockers I have now?

The arb in your 35 will not work in any other axle, you want a 29 spline 8.25 or a 44 from an xj if you want it to be a bolt in swap, you can use any axle you want but those are your only bolt in options.

A 35 is not as weak as people make it seem. My uncle has 35s on his yj with a d35 rear end, and he has never had problems with it.

Guess I'm done with what I got. It's a lot to put into d35 but...it get the job done and get me out when I need it still a beast!!!!

Planning on getting a 3" lift kit... Stuck between the standard RC 3" lift http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html and the zone 3" lift http://zoneoffroad.com/product?ki=436&gr=-1. Or should I go with the RC Sereis II kit since it comes with LCA? http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html What do the LCA do? Ride better? Is it worth the extra money? And lastly, should I bother getting an adj track bar? I am figuring i'll get a lot of different opinions on this... any suggestions are still great

LCAs position your axle (front to rear) in your wheel well. At 3" you don't need them. Track bar positions your axle (side to side) under your Jeep. At 3" you should replace it, but a lot of people don't.
