I showed up and helped them load it into my Jeep. I very stupidly didn't double check. I ASSumed that with 2 people checking everything HAD to be there.

I got home and double checked. Still missing the springs. Plus they shorted me a steering gear box brace - it isn't even on the order despite my original receipt showing it. AND they charged me $103 for their X-Treme warranty, which I declined from day 1. I don't need to pay for a warranty when the parts have a life-time warranty. They say it covers the parts even if I completely wreck my Jeep. But at that point, what good are the parts, if I don't have a Jeep?

I hunted down the CEO of 4wheelparts, found his email and shot him an email explaining the complete communication failure and inability to follow through. I have zero trust in this place. None. Nada. Free parts won't fix this.
Honestly, ever since I had a terrible experience with 4wheelparta, I've just stopped shopping there. Unless you talk to the owner Ron, you will not get what your looking for and their management is terrible. Try Top Gun Customs. That's where I bought my lift kit. Quick, easy, and free shipping! I only go off eBay now as well as HD Off-road Engineering and Iron Rock Off-road. They don't sell RE parts, but they know what the hell they are doing.

Oh and I guarantee the 3.5's will be too short. Mine has a 3" lift with 4.5" coils in the front and it sits level. Just my 2 cents.

Steering, you won't have to get any new components. A tie rod from a V8 ZJ is a nice bolt in upgrade to replace the stock POS tie rod. All you will need is an alignment.

You will need an adjustable track bar at either of those heights which falls under suspension. At 3" you can get away with stock control arms, at 4.5" you will need to replace the lower control arms with longer arms either fixed or adjustable again. You can get by on stock uppers. I would recommend new extended brake lines as well at either height.

will i need a sye at 4.5 . im trying to figure out if 4.5 will be to much lift for my daily driver. i would run 33's with a 4.5 in kit and the biggest tires i could fit with a 3 in i plan on getting bushwacker flares or rugged ridge flares. whats the biggest size tire i could run.

Every Jeep is different. You won't know until you drive it, chances are yes though. You can fit 33's with 3" of lift. Not sure on your states laws on fender flares but with a combination of bump stoping and trimming you can easily do 33's and 3".

I'm gonna be lifting my DD soon. 2-2.5" (OME coils front, unsure of rear)

Anyways, I'm pretty sure my stock sway bar links will work at that height. But won't they be maxxed out?

Also, anyone know of a fixed sway bar link for 2-2.5" lift? Discos?

I googled and one option I seen was to make my own, using two sets of stock links cut down, and rewelded together. Thoughts? I could do that.

Okay so I'm puting new leaf springs in my 1996 cherokee I just got it a few weeks ago and it's lifted I belive it has the 4.5inch rough country lift in it I think they did add a leafs to the leaf springs and there all messed up really bad so I got new springs that should be here today there rough country 3.5 inch leaf springs I was wondering if you think I'll need new shackels also? and any info on takeing out the old and putting in the new I'm hopeing to fix my drive shaft angle with the new springs I might have to shim it up also tho.

another question after I orderd my leaf springs I found that my coil springs are bent/bowed? the drivers side is slightly rubbing the body just a little bit not much and the passanger side is bowing out towards the wheel they appear to just have a spacer at the top of them to lift it I plan on getting new coil springs shoulld i stick with rough country since everything else is? also I was considering getting 3.5inch coil springs and probably taking the spacer out seeing how that looks any ideas or info? I can post pictures if you want. Thanks!

I don't know of any company's that make new links at that height. Discos would work, or sway bar drop brackets. Or throw it away...

Yes pictures would help. You need to be sure the coils are seated in the coil pad correctly. Sound like your control arms aren't long enough.

Here's some pictures I just took didn't get one of the passanger side coil pad but they looked right to me but I don't know much about them, anyway the first three are of the driver side which seams worse and the fourth is of the pasanger side. where are the control arms? if there where I think they are then there are new ones there that are adjustable. Thanks!

Looks like your track bar needs to be adjusted as well.

Yep you need to adjust your track bar and make it shorter. It's double shear, that's a plus. Probably RC with a drop pitman arm though

Yea I kinda wanna keep it, it's my DD and won't really get wheeled. I'd rather keep it on for any handling benefits... oh and safety. Lol

I think I'm gonna take a stab at welding two stock ones together and making them discos.

Okay whats a double shear mean? So adjusting it shorter should make both the springs straighten out? or just the pasanger side one? Once I adjust it do you think I'll still need new springs? or will I have to adjust it then wait a little and check them again? Also how do I tell how much to adjust it?

Also my track bar needs a new bushing on the adjustable end it's missing the seal dry and rubbing the bracket I couldn't figure out what brand it is the adjustment is on the drivers side unlike the track bar from rough country but I was told that I could put a bushing in it that is the same size that I don't have to but the bushing for the spacific track bar, do you know if thats true?

Thanks!
