Im looking for a full lift kit. Cant seem to find anyone that has one.

Not wanting some rinky dink cheapo kit ither. It would be going on one of the cleanest badest Comanches ive ever seen. Lets just say its slightly modified. 2007 5.3 vortec. But ive searched and searched multiple company websites and haven't found anything. I know there are a couple Comanche freaks hiding out here. *should I start a new topic on it or would it get flammed to hell?*

My suggestion is get serious offroad long arms, get 4.5" coils, go spring over in the rear and you may need a sye and brake lines

Research long arm kits for Cherokees. As they said, the front is the same. If you can afford it, the beat are Rock Krawler, Clayton, and TnT.

You want Hell Creek Suspension leaf springs out back. They're a family company, springs are made in-house down south, they have a no BS warranty that covers breaking and sagging for life, and I've never read a bad review about the company.

When I lift my MJ, she's getting HC leafs.

Also keep in mind you're gonna have a lot more torsion on those springs if you do an SOA conversion. You may want to consider keeping it SUA depending on your goals.

You only have to email him once and get a call back in no time. Then talk to him for 15 minutes and you'll know you're dealing with a good guy. He knows what he's talking about, so you'll learn something probably.

I'm never going back to 4wheelparts again. Serious Offroad Products will be where I spend my money from now on. Funny, because I haven't spent a dime there yet, but Frank is a straight shooter and honest man. That's all I want.
I called Rubicon directly this time. I don't know why I didn't do this from the start. It has always been a parts issue and seems like there is some manufacturing changes going on. There was some mention of them moving the manufacturing the last time I was in. But that's besides the point.

Bottom line is that the 4.5" springs that come with the kit I ordered are on backorder at least until the middle of July. To attempt to satisfy their customer they told 4wheelparts that 3.5" springs will work, but may squat slightly if loaded up.

My hope is that the 4.5" springs will come in before I get the build done and I can swap the 3.5" ones out.

Rubicon told me that the ETA has been a moving target and so 4wheelparts may have been as honest as possible at the time. I still think it would have been nice if some just told me:
"Hey, look. This isn't normal, but getting all the parts is going to take some time. If you absolutely need them by a certain time, let us know. Otherwise, you're looking at maybe 3-4 weeks until we can complete your order."

Hi, I just recently installed a rough country 4.5" xflex lift with transfer drop....doing sye and ds in 2 weeks. Anyways, today is the first time I got her on the highway and started hearing a droning or buzz/hum sound when I press on the gas. The sound is oscillating - and the droning or what not gets faster as the car speeds up. The noise is not apparent or as apparent when coasting. Anyone know what could be causing this and is it something that needs immediate attention?

Anyways, I had the lift installed and they were not able to get the upper control arms in. Reason being, we need new uca bushings (the ones on the axles) and needed them mailed in I was told. Anyways, I did not want to leave the car for over a week.

My guess is that the lack of uca is causing the front axle to be pitched weird...causing a chain reaction to ds etc...but, I am in 2wd and it only happens when I give it gas on the highway...Or...wheel bearing?

Thanks in advance

Im gathering lift parts, up front I'm going to run my new RE short arm LCA's, I have RE4.5" coils. My next item im going to get will be my track bar.

Im looking at either the RE1600, or for like $10 more I can get the RE1660. Which should I get, and why?

Or is there a better track bar for similar price, I'v found the RE1660 new for about $115 shipped.

Get the 1660, it mounts in double shear, which is much stronger. It requires a different bracket. I think the part number is RE1650, not sure on that though. I run that track bar, an it's beefy as hell.

The saga continues. I'm completely astounded at the incompetence of this 4wheelparts store.

Was told that everything had arrived and was ready to be picked up. I confirmed this with 2 different people: the manager and the original sales person. They both "physically checked" to make sure it was all there.

I showed up and helped them load it into my Jeep. I very stupidly didn't double check. I ASSumed that with 2 people checking everything HAD to be there.

I got home and double checked. Still missing the springs. Plus they shorted me a steering gear box brace - it isn't even on the order despite my original receipt showing it. AND they charged me $103 for their X-Treme warranty, which I declined from day 1. I don't need to pay for a warranty when the parts have a life-time warranty. They say it covers the parts even if I completely wreck my Jeep. But at that point, what good are the parts, if I don't have a Jeep?

I hunted down the CEO of 4wheelparts, found his email and shot him an email explaining the complete communication failure and inability to follow through. I have zero trust in this place. None. Nada. Free parts won't fix this.

Wow. That sounds like some monkey business. Bet they get a comission for selling that "xtreme" warranty. I'd take all that **** back and get your money however possible.
