First, get a real lift with full leaf springs and coils instead of wasting your time and money.
3" will require many extra modifications that you can find im this thread if you skim it including a new track bar, brake lines, SYE, and more.

There are very few advocates for blocks here, I would suggest you look into getting full leaf packs.

If you go blocks in the back you might want to think about axle wrap.

Not sure I'm the best person to ask because I like a slightly stiff ride... that sounded funny. My buddy has almost the same lift as me except he has Old Man EMU leafs (with the over-load leaf) and his is noticeably softer. Having said that it's not like it knocks your teeth out. Just not as soft as it could be. My shackle angles are not too bad but could be better which would probably soften it up.

I broke the lower and upper shock mounting bolts while putting in my rustys 3" lift with full spring packs. whats the best way to relocate both brackets for better performance and better ground clearance? pictures would be very helpful.

For the tops, just bust the old bolts out and fish new ones through. For the lower, you can order high clearance shock mounts from iron rock offroad, but your shocks may be too long if you relocate the. Up higher on the axle.

Thoughts on how to fix my ****ing loose shock?
If I tighten it the entire shaft rotates. If I try to clamp down on the tip of the shock or around the metal part under the bushing in the wheel well it just slips.
Stupid *** painted threads.
