$200 for the grey one, and I drove it home. $500 for the white one with all the goodies! Skid plates, limited slip, 242 transfer case. Grey one has 150000 miles. White one has 247000.

2600$ for a 99 xj with 94,xxx miles on it. needed brake lines, exhaust, wheel bearing, a/c compressor works but overheats when its real hot and stops working, valve cover gasket, fan belt. All in all threw about $1000 into it and thats with my buddy doing the work cheap, and getting parts thru his dad who runs a parts shop.

I paid $1500 CDN for my 1998 4.0/Ax-15 Sport with 150,000kms on it. It passed all safety and emissions inspections and drove decently. For about 1000km. Then just about everything that could wear out, sequentially wore out. Think ball joints, wheel bearings, axle seals, wiper motors, washer fluid jets, windshield seals, the clutch (due to a valve cover oil leak), the trackbar, sway bar bushings, brake lines (rust), the exhaust (rust), A/C evaporator, the radiator (cracked), radiator hoses (cracked), transmission (reverse idler gear lost a few teeth), t-case (case halves started leaking), u-joints...the next 15,000km cost me an addition $8000...but I liked driving the Jeep so much that I just wanted to repair it to best standard possible every time something failed.
