500 for my 87, but I probably have close to 4000 in it by now and countless hours of wrenching. Sometimes I wish I would have got something newer, but then I would have way to much free time.

I don't buy new vehicles...they're a ripoff. My in-laws just bought an '08 (one year old) Dodge Avenger for $12K. It sold to the first owner one year ago for $26K. I'll take the one year old at a $14,000 discount...but that's just me.

$400 for my 1990 Limited three months ago ... and drove it 60 miles home that day at 70mph. 150,xxx miles, all the power stuff works except for the electric temp and compass.
$50 for my CJ7. drove it 3 miles home down the back roads sitting on a Wawa crate steering with a pair of vice grips on the steering column.

Got My 93 Sport 2WD in September for $1500. The 4.0 is a JY Replacement the PO had put in after His kid ran it out of oil. Showed 165,000 on the clock but who knows? Runs great and looks decent for 15 years old.
I like it but like my bike better.
