No rust is always a plus. Just make sure to get paper work with the "new motor". 8 out of 10 CL ads nowadays say new motor! So I'd make sure they can prove that.

Bought mine from a family friend who worked at a Chrysler dealership. XJ Country 97 for 3500 and it had 120K miles on it. personally from a family friend I think it was kind of high but I couldn't talk him down and I trusted the work he had in it being the mechanic at the dealership. so im not that mad. ive had it for 2 years now and haven't had any trouble besides a couple wheel bearings.

For my 99 XJ for 4000, 160k brand new BDS lift professionally installed, brand new BFG 31's and a bunch of other little goodies. Very well taken care of. It's loaded too
