what did you pay for your xj?
Well I traded a 93 yj with a 7 inch lift and 33s leafs all the way around and rust in the engine and almost 200k. I got a 98 2 door 149k with a rustys 6.5 inch lift up front and a rough country 4.5 in the rear with shackles and it has custom skid plates and custom long arm kit over the knuckle steering and I took my 33s cus they were in better condition how did I do. I payed 4000$ for the wrangler so technically I would say I payed 4000$

I paid 2k 4yrs ago for my 95 XJ with 126k on it. Floors were rusted and it needed a new exhaust, brakes, shocks and serpentine. I got it for my son for his first car. Fixed all that and it is still running like a champ today with 156k on it although it looks like hell and my daughter refuses to drive it, crank windows and no AC. Women...
I paid $900 a week ago tomorrow for my 2000 XJ with 180K on it. It had a blown head. Replaced the head, water pump, thermostat and housing, radiator hoses, heater hoses, line to coolant reservoir, polished the injector ports on the intake and fuel rail and installed everything with felpro gaskets.
Total cost $1493. It has Power windows, mirrors and door locks and blows cold AC. Guess who it's for!
I also have an 2008 Liberty with 101k on it.

Paid $800 for my '89 Laredo. 126,000 miles, power everything, leather seats. All stock. Headliner was sagging like the gangbangers pants on COPS.. lol. Ripped the seats & headliner out. Rearend & suspension came out. Spent a year fabricating on it.. Destroyed it in a rollover.. Look for a re-build thread soon.

Got my first xj back in march, 89 Laredo 4 door 4wd power everything with 186,000miles for 800, sat two years, pasted smog day after I bought it, all it needed was a set of tires and socks. since then got the ac working, 4lo likes to pop out of gear now, and killed a alternator (someone put an 80 amp when it calls for a 100), and it developed a brake problem. I love this jeep but its gonna drive me insane with its little problems.

Perfect actually, just ticked over 333,000 yesterday actually. I had it for almost a year before deciding what I wanted to do with it, I'm very glad I decided to keep it and get it back on the road. I got it looking like this:

And now with a total of $1300 invested, it looks like this.
