Yeah I just used the regular powdered stuff. It dissolved in the water eventually. I figured if it's safe enough to clean dishes then why not give it a shot in my cooling system. And I think I actually heard about it on here first.

LOL...funny thing is, JeepinJimmy helped me all weekend to get the beast lifted. It's all done and working awesome now--big shoutout to Jimmy and Jamison for all of their fine help with it and the use of their tools and sweet shop.
Alright, let's start from the top. In the shop, wheels removed, ready to start tearing that old junk out. Xj gets to hang with Jamison's sick 1-ton MJ all weekend (see the build thread here)

First snag of the evening...bolt sheared right off
Jimmy ended up grinding that off and welding a bolt on to fix.
Amazingly, all of the rear shock bolts came out without breaking. 3 of the 4 were 15mm bolts, and the 4th was a stock 10mm bolt. It was apparent that these shocks were replaced years ago with Autozone specials, and those 3 must have broke and whoever worked on them tapped the welded nuts for larger bolts. I only had to fish one replacement 13mm / 5/16" bolt through. Pretty lucky!
Next was removing the rear leafs, which was the job I was most afraid of. Again, turns out I got really lucky with this, and all 4 bolts came out without much of a problem.

Rear leafs out:

Meanwhile, Jimmy was working on the front end. He ran into a bolt seized in the bushing on the frame side / driver's side LCA.

That took a bit of time to saw out with the sawzall and angle grinder joined on that party as well.
We finally got that out and finished Sunday morning and bolted up the new control arms and Iron Rock track bar. Didn't take many more pictures because I was focused on banging it out. Everything is sexy, and I'm happy with the kit I put together so far. End result...

Of course we had to test it out on the wood pile!

We also threw a 35" on for funsies...fit pretty well surprisingly. This was on a 10" rim though.

I'll wrap this up with this cool shot from outside the shop.

Current to-do:
-install new upstream O2 sensor
-SYE (no vibes yet surprisingly)
-Attach front bumpstops
-Fix rear passenger bumpstop
-NEW TIRES

I vote 35s. If you're gonna have to re-gear you may as well go big
