I am thinking that the following post of yours may have something to do with the issue (picture #3). When discussing technical problems we need full disclosure (like aftermarket TPS.)

Just thought id give a little update on what I've got going on.

Finally got the jeep back on the road after two weeks of messing with the exhaust, I kept breaking down pipes so that's fixed once and for all

Had the front shaft rebuilt and rebalanced by gregorys fleet supply, they did a awesome job for a reasonable price. They also knocked it out in two hours and painted it for me so I was a happy camper.

And the fun stuff, I had my rims sandblasted and powered coated by a shop in gloucester and mounted a set of 33x10.50 KM2s.

Still working on my misfire issue, down to electrical or vacuum, still working on it when I get a chance, and I still need to hack and tap the rear so I can lift it up to level it out. But she is coming along good and I really love the look of 33s on her.

Making progress!
For the 2001 it could likely be a coil pack causing misfire.

Already swapped it with a good coil pack and confirmed it wasn't a coil pack issue.

Just 301, sometimes it will kick a 300 and a 306 along with it but that doesn't happen often. Its always 301.

Dale, just out of curiousity, what of the following possible causes for the 301 code have you already diagnosed and corrected if necessary?

- Faulty spark plug 1
- Clogged or faulty fuel injector 1
- Faulty ignition coil 1
- Fuel injector 1 harness is open or shorted
- Fuel injector 1 circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coil 1 harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coil 1 circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinder 1 compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak

Spark plugs were changed when it first started. Injectors were resistance checked and then moved around to see if misfire followed. Coil rail was swapped with a known good one. Ignition coil harness and circuit was checked including bypassing main wiring harness to eliminate possibility of a short. Compression was perfect 150 across the board, low of 135 on cylinder 2 and high of 160 on 6. Fuel pressure was tested and found to be out of spec so fuel pump was replaced. I've sprayed several vacuum lines looking for a leak. In addition to that I've replaced TPS, MAP, Air charge, coolant temp sensors.

I still need to spray the actual intake gasket to see if a leak has developed there, need to find a way to check out injector 1 wiring circuit. I think the best would be pulling the live data from the computer while running to see if anything looks off. I've caught the mini cats glowing before so I believe this is all due to a lean condition in the engine.

Glowing cats makes me think unburned fuel is getting down there and igniting in them causing the glow, so running rich, not lean.
Definitely check the injector wiring as well. Live diagnostic is gonna be your best bet, but you just gotta find a place that'll do it for a decent price if you don't have the software and pc connections.

I think im going to go through the injectors again, pull off the rail and try to see the spray pattern. Maybe one is stuck open and is flooding the cylinders. Luckily I have a friend at the dealership who can help me with the live diagnostic.
