Did you know that Arizona has more "Continuous Shoreline" than any any other state in the U.S. ? This is why a "desert" state has a "fish and game" dept rather than a "game and fish" dept.
I love how it seems that everyone that HASN'T lived in AZ before thinks that the entire state is nothing but one giant desert. Weird.

I know you were asking RocketMouse but I saw where you are from and it made me think of a quote from one of my favorite movies... "Cowboys? I had a run-in with a couple of them up in Prescott."

So many movies filmed here.....I worked in special effects on one movie. Dropping a stuntman and a star off a cliff in a CJ7.

Welcome and really appreciate the news and invite! I won't be able to come down that way right now but would love to! It sounds like fun! Maybe some of the others closer might be able to make it?

Honestly think I'm just still getting a real "feel" for the true condition of my XJ. I've done a lot... I mean a lot of maintenance on her since I got her in Nov. The PO was a complete idiot.
I'd need a page single spaced for everything I've done thus far. No joke.
At this point, I'm starting to feel pretty comfortable with the reliability for in-town type stuff. I've always taken really good care of my vehicles so any leaks, worn parts, sounds that could indicate issues do NOT sit well with me. I think especially since this is my DD, and not just a WW vehicle.
That's why I want to start out on mild trails that aren't going to stress her too much until I get a good sense of capability and condition for it.
Lol, you would be surprised how reliable these really are. We put many long distance and hard off road miles on ours with a cracked head for a year and a half before it finally got bad enough I needed to work on it.

I think it's the Flag, the License Plates, and the old westerns where everyone in Az is always dying of thirst or fighting over water... lol

I lived here a few years before I learned of the Mogollon Rim. Now I love camping up there (only two hours away) but it still amazes me how many people that live here have never been there.

You are going to think I'm crazy, but have you had anything strange happen when you were up there? Lol

Anyone been to circlestone yet? I found something that can't be seen on the ground there. Not sure if anyone knows about this but there are Two Circles... one is still covered up and unexposed...
