Yea I thought about just buying every fel pro that looked similar and going to town ... lol but now I'm on the fence of how much to bore and how far I want to take it, so gaskets just became irrelevant.
If I find out a source (if one exists) for butterfly valves I may start making these.
On that note if intake hole is 60mm, wouldn't that pretty much be the optimum diameter to shoot for? Wouldn't 62-63mm just toss the air around when it hits the lip? Or at least be slowed down?

The factory TB has a tapered bottom section. When partially open, the now-upper half lets it a lot more air than the now-lower half because there is more distance between the edge of the valve and the TB wall. Lets say total airflow is 100 CFM with 55 passing via the top and 45 passing via the bottom. With a straight bore, you'll get a 50/50 split, but since the bottom is wider anyway it'd be more like 55/55 CFM. If you bore the whole thing out you keep the ratio and might get say 60/60. But even if you were to increase the diameter on the lower half that'd be 55/60.
If I didn't fail so hard at drawing I'd make a purdy picture. If you draw it out yourself you should see what I mean lol. And of course all those numbers are made up just to demonstrate my point

I have a 95 jeep xj 4.0 and recently it is starting to get almost what seems like a grinding sound. It inly happens when i am above about 30 mph, and i either have begun to coast or i am already coasting (at 30+) and lightly tap the gas. When i say lightly this is before it really engages anything. Any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks. Also it sounds as though it is coming from the rear, an pretty well centered.

I get a loud pop noise coming from the front end when moving like out of a parking space. The pop noise only happens when I'm turning the wheels and moving slow. It does not happen all the time, about 1 a week.
I have tried to mimicking the sound while looking under the front and grabbing and trying to see if anything is loose with no luck.
U-joint or ball joint?

Gonna search for some butterfly valves now... 60mm. Anyone kniw for certain if the air intake TB opening is indeed 60mm?

I put my doors back on for the first time today and they sag a little, nothing I can't live with, but I believe the reason is because the sleeves that go around the hinge pin were shredded when I took them off. Any ideas on finding or making some replacements?
