No, it just spins freely on newer model xjs and stays still on older models In 2wd

Plus the front diff, the drive shaft and t case are like balanced together sort of. How to explain? The drive shaft is bolted to both yokes a certain way

Gonna try to explain this as best I can being a new jeep owner. All 4 shocks rattle pretty bad because it seems the rubber grommet the top half is resting on has worn down to the point the top half of the shock wiggles freely when I shake it. The shocks don't seem bad yet so can I just want to replace the rubber piece that's worn. Don't know what it's called or where to find it. Any advice would be great.

this is only true for nitrogen charged shocks. Hydro shocks will not extend themselves.

stock would be hydro...

either way the "push" test isn't a good indicator of shock condition

Sorry guys should have explained more. Got it with a 3 inch skyjacker AAL lift installed. Went on vacation the day after I got it so I couldn't check what kind of
Shocks they actually were. Probably nitro? Pretty sure its just the shock tower grommets that dukie listed. They almost look a little big though unless that's how they started and wore down that much. 2000 sport if that means anything to the grommet size on the top half of the shocks. If nobody minds I'll pm them pictures of exactly what I'm talking about on sunday. Thanks again for the help.

Default 2000 XJ no start

okay so i have a 2000 XJ sport and she stalled on me when i was driving and hasn't started back up since.. when i put starting fluid or gas in the Throttle body it will start for a short period of time then die. I can hear the fuel pump kick on every time and the fuel line is brand new. also if i press the pin on the check port on the fuel rail there is no pressure or fuel that will come out unless it was directly put into the TB...

PLEASE HELP
