shove it between the a/c accumulator and the distributor, mine's been there for over a year without issue.

The egg thing is a vacuum ball, it helps with cruise control and heater control IIRC, you can relocate to the empty space next to the battery with a few zipties

As for the horns, definitely relocate. Speaking from experience, if you don't they get wet and muddy while wheeling and will go it relatively quickly (week and a half for me)

Thanks guys I'll try plugging the hose and see what happens. Where did you mount your horns? Isn't there a horn in the engine compartment also? Why 2 small ones down there?

Default idle goes up and down on it's own

i just bought a 1996 Lorado 4X4, my engine idle goes up and down sometimes when I'm at a stop or if I'm going down hill without throttling the engine I noticed it on the tach. the AIC got changed right before I purchased it. note: when the engine is running it very smooth until the idle wants to change.
I hope someone can help me out.

Thank you Both for the Price point. .. I am thinking that junk yard is not the way to go, since i called and offered them 75 for a pair and they told me its not woth it for them to even touch the car for that little and that if i wanted to pull them off myself they would let me for 125 a pair ..
and since the cars sit with no wheels in the yard I think i will pass on the used parts Yards..

Thank you both for that.. I guess there is no way to do an inexpensive fix on this spare car that hardly gets a thousand miles a year put on it .. and incidentally .. That gets me thinking, how often should I change the Oil then on this ? it cant be the normal 3000 miles can it?

I believe that those are the only two

You can see it, it's the black thing hanging there, although I wouldn't mount it in the same place as mine without at least a shield or something. One of mine doesn't work now because it got mud in it. I recommend relocating to somewhere out of the way of the tires, probably under the hood, somewhere more protective

i have a 98 cherokee xj noticed one of my tail lights was out about a week or two ago so i replaced the bulb. this did not work so i checked all of my fuses they were all fine. a friend of mine suggested to hardwire my working running light over to the bad one. this resulted in a burnt fuse so i put a slightly larger fuse in which made all of my running lights go out along with my gauge lights. from other threads on here i found that it was probably a bad headlight switch. so i replaced that. flipped it on still didnt work. found a burnt fuse in the panel near the battery so i replaced that. i am completely stumped now and i absolutely hate electrical problems. any suggestions/help would be great. thanks
