I was driving home the other night with my extremely dim (only left low beam really actually shines out, and even then, the blinkers shine further than the beams) headlights on and they just turn off randomly. I decided to try to flick my brights on and they ran just fine. when i switched back to low beams they were back on. Every time the lows would die (3 times total in a 20 minute trip) if i would flick the brights on for a second they would work again. What could be casuing this? I need to lights anyways because mine are so dim, but could there be more? Thanks.

Its a 99 4dr power windows...
Anyone know what's the issue?

Followed this fix here:
http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...ulator_Fix.htm
It worked great!

Just make sure you drill your holes as small as possible. I have a little play in it but its not noticeable.

That was the worn out plastic thing the held onto the worm gear.
It was a completely free fix as I had an assortment of cotter pins on hand.
Another question.
I have a slight wobble from 60-68mph I wouldn't call it deadly at all but its annoying. I put an old HD stabilizer on it and it helped a little, I haven't checked tire balance yet but they were balanced about 5months ago. But I noticed my track bar bushings, one on the links is shot and another on the bar to the uniframe is shot. How much could track bar bushings make it wobble? I got a zj tie rod setup I'm putting on there to see if anything changes.
Btw its a 99 stock heightth stock tires (its the dd)

This may be a dumb question (i know, you said none exist), but here it is:
I'm a poor college student and I commute. I've had some overheating problems, but they've pretty much been squared away. The other day though I went to start my jeep and it wouldn't...i tried giving it a jump and that didnt work either. I will be the first to admit i am not all that mechanical/tech-savvy/what-have-you (although a jeep has been the perfect automobile to learn all of the different things that can go wrong...then how to fix them).
Anyway, the jump did not work. It kind of chug-chug-chugged, but wouldn't start. Not the click-click-click where nothing happens. However, i noticed than when i turned the key a bit (just to turn on clock/radio etc), the clock blinked rapidly then shut off and the battery level was at the first line. So, after reading different things im not sure if it may be the fuel filter or pump, or if it still could be a dead battery.
Any input would help (as well as anything i could look for to narrow problem)...as well as what it may possibly cost under each different scenario.
Thanks so much guys,
GJT

Same transmissions used between 2x4 and 4x4 models, the 2x4 models have an extended output shaft to make up for the lack of transfer case. AW4 auto on almost all of the XJ years, manual can be BA-10/5, AX-15, or NV-3550
Also be careful with pics from 4chan lol. You sure it wasn't simply an XJ with no axles and cardboard wheels drawn in? Or a Ford Escort lol

Could someone tell me if there is a differnce between the two fan shrouds listed under the above link? I need one as the PO lost the one for the 96 cherokee I have. If they are different which one would fit, and is there a better site to by these on? Thank you for the help, and if there is a better place to post this question please let me know.
