I have a 2001 Cherokee, I'm replacing the motor. Me and dad got it in the engine bay, & got one of the lower tranny bolts started, but the over one can't quite reach the threads, no lie it's only like a quarter of an inch it lacks, we can get one side started, but not the other at the same time, to me seems like the torque converter pilot shaft won't quite line up, what do you guys think?

you need to get the first motion shaft fully seated to the engine before attempting to bolt anything up.

This is the one you want. I have this exact model on mine.

Amazon.com: Magnaflow 91005 Universal Catalytic Converter (Non CARB compliant): Automotive Amazon.com: Magnaflow 91005 Universal Catalytic Converter (Non CARB compliant): Automotive

And clamping is just fine. I've had my exhaust clamped for years leak free.

Will do that, any tricks you know of to make it happen? This is not my first motor swap but it's being a real pain

have to make sure the alignment slots/dowels are lined up. It won't seat unless they are.

Did you mess with the torque converter at all?

Nope, I just put the one off of the old motor in the transmission, the other motor came out of a 2wd Cherokee & I didn't wanna take a chance of it being the wrong converter, couldn't find anything to say it was or wasn't the same

I have these lights....and although they do look sick during the day (all black jeep) the light output sucks bonkey dalls, but with an upgraded fog lamp - a combination driving/fog lamp two bulbs for each fixture - I am back to shining the trail up now.

Ha!....didn't realize I was responding to a 2 year old post...sheesh is it time to go home yet.

Is this the same length as the stock one? Or do you need another section of pipe?

Where does it go to 2.5 instead of 2.25?
