No, it does not. Unless AMC has no logic in their design.

Question

So I would assume that my speedo gear is in the "tailshaft", but where is that?

anyone know how loud there jeep is?(decibels) I'm using decibel 10 on my iPhone and getting 63ish at idle and 80ish around 25mph. ill test it on the freeway soon, just haven't gotten to it yet. i can't decide if i want to keep my 89 cherokee or trade it for a newer one just because of the noise. I've got 80sq ft of damplifier, 80 sq ft of closed cell foam, and new door seals around the jeep, and its still that loud!

I'm sure my iPhone isn't very accurate but I've tested them in a few different cars and get about 70 dbs on the freeway.

The tail extension housing is bolted up to the rear of your tranny, it just extends the output shaft a few inches to make up for the lack of transfercase when attaching to the rear drive shaft. The speed sensor should be located on the left side of it. This pic tells me that it's oriented vertically on the AW4 with the cable coming out of the top: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/ask...66/#post624708

This illustration shows that it's horizontal and the cable comes out of the side for the AX-15: http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/...e/00000971.jpg (the giant hole below where part 15 bolts in

No problem. Should be a standardized part, base XJs even come with the wiring harnesses for all of the high end fancy options.

Does anyone know of a cheap source for the panel clips that are used on the door panels and back hatch panel?

I'm pretty sure my cat is bad. I want to get one of the $50 magnaflow high flow cats on Amazon and just use clamps to hold it on till I get it welded on. Will this be ok? Also it does not specify the tube diameter. How will I know which one will fit a 2.25" in/out

It should specify the size. Clamps will do but you may have to get the pipe stretched to fit
