That's funny because, the first az I went to the guy looked up my parts for a 2.5L and the first one he brought out looked right but it was used and beat up so he was going to get another ons and then I pointed out he looked up for a 2.5 not a 4.0 and he found the "right one" at another store. Which turned out to be the zj one.
Yeah it's the same. The 2.5L has no aux fan, so it has a heavier duty fan clutch. That's what I was told anyway.

Its definitely wrong. It fits buts it doesn't work right. It never disengages, something about the fan itself not being heavy enough? (Think I read that somewhere) that why people "upgrade" to it to help with cooling. When accelerating it sounds just like my 91 and the clutch on that fan was toast and locked solid. So I know its not letting go at all.

I don't need help with cooling I want my fan to "disengage" when its supposed to.

Now it's my turn to ask a question.... So I've got a built front Dana 44 from a waggy I just bought. I've read in many threads/forums/articles that I can convert 6x5.5 lug to a 5x5.5 using Ford and Chevy parts. For the life of me I can't find any part numbers for the things I'll need to do the conversion. Any thoughts?

It's it thermally controlled, it should disengage when it gets cooler. I love the way it sounds lol. If it doesn't let up at all there might be something wrong with it. I thought when the clutch goes out it wouldn't be as loud?

It doesn't disengage, on the freeway it sounded as loud at 2400rpms as it did when I first started it up and drove off at 2400rpms.

I wouldnt mind the sound as much if it didn't drown out my sweet sounding cowl intake.

I'm not denying that there could be something wrong with it.

And when that could be true about the clutches going out, its my reasoning for replacing clutch in the first place, getting hotter at low speeds (drive thrus mostly lol) but on my 91s fan clutch I think it was so far gone it was actually just seized up.

My 88 MJ has manual w/l door wise. I picked up a set of 95 all electric doors on the cheap. Other than the buttons for lock and windows on the passenger side they are complete. is there a current harness in the Jeep factory that I can plug and play or do I have to chop cut splice?

What I've read about the zj clutch is that its duty cycle is 90% spin as the pulley its on and the standard xj clutch is 30-50% duty cycle.

I have a zj clutch and notice it doesn't really disengage too often and when it does it doesn't really slow down too much.

As for your rtv gasket issue, I have always cleaned both surfaces. Put a small amount on both sides of the thermo gasket and snugged up the bolts. About 10 minutes later I tighten them down after the gaskets start to form and have never had a single issue. They do reccomend a "cure" time on the tube, fallow that and you'll be fine.

Post engine swap- 90 auto into 98 manual cherokee

What do i need to switch in order to get my 90 renix motor running in the 98? the 90s body is on its way out- bad floors. the 98 has a blown motor, great body. any info is appreciated thank you

All the electronics and sensors are different.
