My buddys Cherokee was doing the same thing....ended up being a cracked head and all the missing coolant was mixing with his oil. Looked like chocolate milk when we drained his oil out.

I have never had a jeep before and i figured i would ask to see if this ones worth fixing, the guy is sellig it for 600 its an 87 and he said it wont start but the headlights and everything work just nothing in the cab, all the searching i have done leads me to think its the inginition swicth but could it be more complacted than that and if so how much more, other then that he said it ran good until 2 weeks ago, i just dont want to buy somthing that might never run again

None of my windows work right. Driver side slowly goes down, front passenger will go down but you have to use your hands to help pull it down, and the two backs won't go down at all. The are electric... Why won't they go??

I had to do this a couple times now.
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee SE, 6 Cyl. 4WD, Automatic with a blower problem. Yesterday when I turned up the fan speed I noticed an odor from the vents like hot plastic. Today no smell is detected but one of the fan speeds does not work Low, 2nd, and high work fine with no unusual noises or odors but the third speed does not work. I have read that if the resistor is bad only high speed works. Any thoughts as to which of the three might be the the most likely cause or had a similar experience and fixed?

Hi, I'm a new owner of a 94 jeep cherokee. just bought it two days ago. I noticed yesterday that after a long time of driving, I was out for about 5-6 hours driving, that when stopped or going slow(below 20 mph) the temp gauge started going up from just under the first hash mark slowly and it actually made it to just on the tip edge of the middle hash mark on the right side. I don't know if it would go further because I then went ahead and started driving on the road again(25+mph) and it would go back down. but stopping at a light or sitting for a few more minutes it would go back up again. I'm not sure if thats normal for jeeps as my mr2 doesnt do this. The previous owners told me they replaced the water pump recently and I was thinking maybe its the thermostat?? I checked coolant level and it was fine. there are no leaks anywhere. before I start checking on my own id like some experienced suggestions or tips to lead me in the right direction. thanks for any help.
