can anyone give me a list of all the processes that happen when you turn the ignition on but before you actually start a Renix 4.0, I know the fuel pump primes and some relays click what else goes on?

Question I want to change the manual transmission to automatic.

I have an 86 Cherokee with the Chevy 2.8V6 in it. The transmission in it is starting to go out, so I am wondering if I can take the automatic transmission out of my 83 Chevy S10 Blazer and put that in there instead. The engines are the same as far as I can tell, I am just wondering if that would work and what would need to be done.

Short simple opinionated question.
I want to put a chrome tip on my XJ (to go with my chrome "Jeep" skull hitch cover) but I have a downturned pipe. Would this look stupid? I can't find pics and just need a simple opinion because i just cant visualize it

Just an idea u could snip off the down turned part. They make long chrome tips

Yeah, but it's a brand new tailpipe and I technically don't own the Jeep (my grandparent's bought it for me, it's in their name). Pretty sure they wouldn't be happy if I chopped off the pipe...I also think that there is a law that the muffler must reach the outside of the body so that Carbon Monoxide and other gases don't get into the cabin, don't know exactly how that would happen but whatever.

What's the point of these? Just to make it look like your exhaust is chrome? Or does it actually help with performance/sound??

What do I line my cut fenders with to protect them and make them look better?

i just want it for the looks, like I said it would probably go pretty well with the chrome skull. I don't think it would do anything at all for sound...definitely wouldn't do anything for performance. If I wanted sound/performance I'd swap out my muffler...which I am planning on doing. My grandparents are OK with that because it doesn't involve cutting any parts off and my Cat needs to be swapped out anyway, I'm pretty sure there is something loose in there.

Personally, I would get some bedliner and use that on the fenders and probably on the rocker panel too. I think it would probably look pretty good and it would definitely protect them

do what makes you happy. Putting a tip on it would be no problem at all. Probably 5 minutes of work lol.
