Adjusting my steering stops, but the bolt on the driver side is only in by a couple threads. Anyone have the measurement (with thread) of the stock bolt so I can buy a longer replacement?

I believe this is normal either pre-96 or pre-97. I recall in a note either about SYEs or driveline vibes that around then they changed from having ATF oozing out of the t-case to lube the slip yoke to having it sealed, and grease required to be added once the rubber boot was removed.

OK new to this so be gentle. I have a 93 xj found a rear end at a parts yard off a 87 xj with a 2.5 mine is a 4.0 ho. The 87 is a limited slip. Can I do a complete swap of the rear ends?

Which rear end? You will probably need new u bolts and a different driveshaft if its not what you currently have.

And the 4 banger probably has 4.10s... so you wont be able to use 4wd unless you gear the front to match

Default Do the flywheel bolts need to be replaced every time the flywheel is removed?

On a 1990 4.0 manual transmission.

And who sells them if they do need to be replaced?

Can you remove one while at the parts store and bring it inside to compare?
