easiest thing would be to take the headlights and headlight buckets out, then undo the latch hoop bolts

Where the bucket screws in

hood latch bolts

ok have another question for you guys ?? is Selling a 99 Wrangler ( perfect body also garaged) that use to have a 4cyl. in it, we put a 4.0 6cyl motor and tranny and transfer case and computer in it from the Cherokee , but the mechanic didn't measure motor mounts right so the drive shafts did not fit , is all that worth $2500.00

Don't budge on your price. If it's in the shape you say, it's quite a deal at $2500 in my opinion. You can't touch a Wrangler (any year, any conditon) for under $3500 in my area.

does it run ok? if driveshafts are the only issue you can easily get custom ones made, or the buyer can get the motor mounts fixed. Custom shafts only cost about $300 a piece.

2000 is low for even an older non-operational rusty wrangler

look on craigslist or ebay and see what people are getting out of them.

KBB lists them at $4400-5300 in fair/good condition. You should expect to get at least $5k out of it all things considered.

You can't get a wrangler for under $6,5 in Cleveland, and for one without rust, you're looking at a five digit price tag. $2,500 for something that moves is a great price, and you definitely shouldn't go lower.

Will it hurt anything if my heater core hoses are switched? I have a '91 4.0 and i removed hcv today. Right now the tstat hose runs to the top nipple on htr core. The water pump is hooked to the bottom nipple. Thx!

I thought the heater core nipples and hoses were different sizes. Maybe on my 96 its different.

I think because they are different sizes you can't mess it up.

Gremlins in the Instrument Cluster:

So, about every 2-3 months, one of the smaller gauges (oil pressure, temp., battery) will freak out, and go all the way the right. The "check gauges" red warning light also illuminates. I will shut the engine off, and it goes away and returns to normal after I restart. This used to just happen to the oil pressure, but now it's the battery and temp as well.

I was never really that concerned as it would go back to normal, but I'm thinking it may be a more serious electrical issue. Any thought?

Does it work? I don't think it is directional.
