Also, so it is the up-stream sensor since it is before the cat conv. ? The down-stream is after the cat conv.

Honestly don't know but I figured my 01 sensors are stock so why not take 20 mins to change the map sensor and the o2 sensors I have just haven't gotten a chance I install them

Theres several cats the upstream cat, my is a dual cat and the downstream one that's right before the muffler. Then there are the o2 sensor above the upstream cat and sensors below that upstream cat

Well your rear one should always be standard. The front one is a high pinion reverse cut from '84 to '99, *usually*. The '00 and '01 uses a low pinion standard cut due the exhaust downpipe and some other bull.

Okay, so will I need to order one upstream sensor and not the downstream sensor?

Correct and look to see how many upstream ones you have. Some older cats were single cats and also some California cats I think had one sensor. My 100% sure so just look to make sure first

Anyone?

Thanks. But my front doesn't look like it is high pinion, but I will take another look at it when I get a chance. If it is not a high pinion, that makes it standard. Right????

Yes. It probably is a low pinion because like I said before, the 2000 & 2001 model XJ's use a low pinion, standard cut.

If you have a 1993, it's HP, unless someone swapped in a LP D30, which I do not see happening

It's very obvious which one you have. The LP is flat on the bottom back to the yoke

LP Left, HP right
