I couldnt get a good grip on it so if it does come out farther it must be difficult to get...also ill try and see if i can replicate that to find out if the switch is the problem...also while i was driving it did unlock and lock once but that was at about 50ish.

this is the pedal pressed

I played this game for a few months, brake light switches, NSS, etc. Cleaning, adjusting, and replacing. After every attempt it would SEEM to remedy the issue for a bit only to have it come back. Ultimately I had to replace solenoids. It isn't a terrible job to do and Cascade Transmission (ebay or their website) sells a kit with all three solenoids, new filter, and gasket for like $75.

Alright guys. Cut a window, but the weld nut is not the issue. It isnt spinning. It seems like maybe the bolt is just stuck inside of the bushing sleeve? I have tried multiple times with a pry bar to get the bolt out even while wiggling the leaf but nothing. Any other ideas before I just cut everything off?

Yeah the bolt is seized in the metal sleeve.

Cut the leaf close to the eye.

Rotate it around, cut again, pop the two halves out.

Repeat with the outer metal sleeve.

Hack/break the bushing out.

Inner metal sleeve has a seam, hit that with a chisel, air chisel if you have one.

Bolt should come out fairly easy once you kill yourself doing all that other ****.

Lol, no problem, happy to be the bearer of ****ty news.

Just had to do that on my XJ. And I work on 50yr old Mustangs for a living, lol, couldn't begin to count how many times I've had to do that procedure. Ugh.

OK so new question...

I have HD offroad shackle relocation brackets, the lift kind and 1.5 inch shackles for the rear. Ive got 4.5 inch coils for the front and thats the lift size im shooting for. I think that stock leafs along with those brackets and shackles should get me close correct? Dont much want to go higher than 4.5-5 inches

Well I don't know how much lift those relocation brackets give, but they're typically meant for the extra length of aftermarket(lift) springs. My concern would be ending up with a wickedly shallow shackle angle.

When I had 2" shackles, shackle relocation brackets that gave lift and a 3" rough country pack, at a good shackle angle I was around 4.5" with a bad angle (almost vertical) it was a touch over 5" of lift. Lift shackles don't give as much lift as they say they do when they are at the proper angle. They give the lift stated at an improper angle typically. That's just my experience and 2 cents.

Edit: I know my shackle brackets said there's typically about 1.5" of lift gained, the 3" rough country springs said they were "leveling" and only gave 2" of lift and the shackles were on their 2" mark.

I had 3" rough country AAL on my stock packs, along with homemade shackle relocation brackets and 1.5" extended shackles. I sat right on the money; 4.5" over stock.

I have 4.5" rubicon express leafs, 1.25" shackles, and no lift brackets and I'm right around 5.5" I believe, may have settled some since I put it in.
