do you have a picture of what you mean? Because when I got my jeep back from getting gears the boot over the splines was ripped so I can only assume it was taken apart.

I was told it would be $50 and a week or so but I guess I could just drop it off and use the spare if I have to.

I swap t cases in 3-4 hours laying on flat ground, and rebuilding a t case usually take less than 2 hours for me. But for a beginner, plan on 4 hours. So approximately 8-9 hours

so it can be done in a day/weekend? It's starting to leak worse than I like and the parts are coming in but I don't have a back up car so I need to go home one weekend get it all apart and back together before the following week

I'd aim to pull it and drain the fluid on a Friday night, and you should be finished by dinner Saturday. But that'll give you an extra day if needed

I put the sye in it so it won't be my first time opening it up. I've never gone all the way into so any tools you recommend I buy/rent? I'm definitely getting some lock ring pliers because that was the hardest part of the sye using two screwdrivers.

seems like a pretty good idea, I really hope all the parts are here this weekend but I doubt it.

If the front driveshaft is in just put it in 4WD. Unless you have a '95 with the stupid external seal.

The front shaft is the one I'm trying to replace, I already have a tom woods coming in for the rear.
