Another Electrical question on a 30a fuse in the Distribution center up on the fender well top.
(history): Found out my last problem with a pin corroding in my black plug to the PCM.
Drove fine for a few weeks then on my way to work last Tues and died like the key was turned off.
Got towed home and finally found a 30a "micro" fuse in the middle that was blown but my crappy little Hanes manual doesn't show what it goes to, just what amp it is..
Can anyone tell me what circuits are controlled by THAT fuse? (even the black plastic cover doesn't say!)
Also, is this true that the '96 cherokee is a bastard child in that some controlls are '95 and some are '97? I wanted to get a set of Factory Shop Manuals but at over 150.00 for each set, I really don't want to pay for two sets.
I tried to PM a member here that for some reason wanted/insisted for me to be on HIS timeframe and I guess I took TOO LONG getting back and wont' return messages..
Are there any other places to download FULL Factory shop manuals?
Thanks again guys.

According to my '96 owners manual there a 6 mini fuses in that distribution center. Only one should be a 30A fuse. It is for auto shutdown relay.
Yes the '96 can have certain parts for a '97.

I've got a spare flooded lead acid battery that sat for about two years. Battery itself is about three years old. Overwintered in the Jeep while it was, so probably froze. Both my old bench charger and the fancy Noco Genius charge it up.
When charged just by the bench, but left for a day or two, the starter merely clicks. I didn't have this problem with the giant VW batteries that I know are in better condition.
When I leave it in the Jeep and hook the Noco Genius onboard charger up, I get one very slow revolution of the starter and it goes back to clicking. The charger reports fully charged again in a minute or less.
Agree that the battery's toast?

Haha anytime man. NOW GO MUCK THEM STALLS!
You can try fully charging it and then fully discharging it for a few cycles as a last resort. If that doesn't work, I'd say you've lost your cranking amps. Might still be useful as an accessory battery, but doesn't have that deep cycle that the starter needs.
