There's no leak, there's not any coolant on the ground ever.

Hopefully they will not cost too much.
Thank you for the recommendation.

Just because it's not on the ground doesn't mean it doesn't leak somewhere. Mine would leak out the thermostat but never made it to the ground. Still lost coolant.

The Powerbuilt ZEON sockets work surprisingly well also. Obviously not if the head is 100% round, but they advertise for 85% rounded and down.... I can vouch that they have removed plenty of nuts my regular sockets can't.

So I'm making a list (checking it twice...or more)
for a 3" lift. My plan is to buy the metalcloak lift but in pieces so I'm not dropping $2200 all at once.
Anyway my questions are this:
1. Way back when o first started my research I came across a thread about shimming the axle to prevent or stop driveline vibes, they provided something that lead me to the conclusion I would need IIRC 2.8* shims. Now obviously that doesn't exist so I thought ok I'll go 3*. Ive come to find that they only sell 2, 4, and 6* shims. Some threads I saw today in my research were talking about under shimming being better so that leads me to think that the 2* would be better then the 4*, can I get some insight into this please?
2. I'm wanting to get rubber bushings for the leaf spring and shackle what's a good brand should I go with general replacement (crown, omix-ada) or something else?

Thank you guys.

Could be a small head gasket leak too. Have you had your oil checked recently? Blackstone said there's a very small amount in my oil that I should keep oil changes short until I can fix the issue.

Less shim is better because when under load your leaf springs will slightly warp pulling the pinion up. So if you over shim then it pulls it even higher and farther off rather than closer to.

But if you under-shim, it's wrong all the time except when you're accelerating.

What you said is correct, but the compensation is to point the pinion 1-2 degrees below the angle of the driveshaft when it's at rest. This is assuming an SYE is installed, which should really be the first question we ask.

I was really hoping to avoid the SYE (242) which is one of many reasons I chose the 3".

With the amount of coolant I lose, roughly about 10-16 ounce every 100 miles, my engine would have been toast long ago if the coolant were getting into the oil.
Any many oil changes, never saw the slightest bit of coolant in the oil, my coolant just vanishes into thin air.

Anyone have the link to the write up about how to modify your front turn signal so the entire thing lights up instead of just the top?

On a related note, the search feature here really SUCKS. If you search ...........for instance, "turn signal mod", every thread with any of those words comes up, I don't have the time to search dozens of threads, some with up to 750,000 posts in them. Using the "advanced" feature to narrow search only narrows the search by a little.

Don't have the link, but you can do a proper search by going to Google and adding "site:cherokeeforum.com"

Then it's probably evaporating. Could be a bad radiator cap. Fluid boils at a higher temperature when it's pressurized, and the system should be at 16psi
