i went and did some light trails today. when in a bumpy terrain with 4LO engaged, i got a couple loud clunks or "bang" if I can call it that, coming from the front end when turning. I believe it is from the diff, but unsure if it's normal or not. I was not on pavement, but it wasn't slippery either. to me it's not normal but in 4hi full time and 2hi there is no sound to be heard (i have not tested 4hi part time, never use it)

I have done the np242 swap behind the ax15 and I would say I love it. And will do it again if I have the opportunity to do so.

Not really true. The front axle will be allowed to go faster around a turn still, and as long as you aren't applying throttle(for an autolocker) and don't have the selectable locker locked, all 3 diffs will differentiate normally.

My statement still stands, and it IS true. To take advantage of the FULL BENEFIT of the Selec-Trac NP242 system, it is best to have LSD in the diffs rather than open or locked. That includes auto-lockers. The torque-biasing in the transfer case is most efficient with the same torque-biasing is in place in the differentials. It's more than just about "allowing the front wheels to turn in 4wd on pavement", it's about a full 4wd system that allows efficient, full-traction in multiple surfaces.
Have some slight wobbling going on in my front end while at highway speeds. no death wobble, but enough to feel in my steering wheel and if i take a look at the tires i can see them going a little back and forth too. Suggestions for where to look first? i was thinking u joints
